Meet Our Pastor and Staff

Pastor - Rev. Josh Milliron

As a boy Josh grew up in small towns across Louisiana in the home of a United Methodist pastor. It was during his childhood that he was baptized and found faith in Jesus Christ. As a teenager he was a basketball player. In addition to school he operated a yard business, worked as a custodian at his church, worked on a hay farm, and had dreams of becoming a medical doctor. While at Centenary College in Shreveport, he heard a call to preach the Word and do the work of an evangelist (2 Timothy 4:1-5). After college he prepared for ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky. Josh has served as a pastor for sixteen years, and he served in youth and children’s ministry for six years.

Josh has been married to his wife, Allison, for seventeen years. Allison graduated with Josh from seminary, has a Master of Divinity, and has served in children’s and youth ministry throughout her career. Allison also has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and is a professional artist. Josh and Allison have two children, a daughter in high school and a son in middle school.

Josh’s last name is pronounced “Mill - iron”. A mill iron is the central cylinder upon which a mill wheel spins.

She moved to Birmingham during her 10th grade year to attend the Alabama School of Fine Arts high school. After graduation she attended Auburn University graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1993. After two missionary experiences in Brazil, Allison heard a call to ministry that led her to Asbury Theological Seminary where she graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree in 2000. She has served in churches as Children’s Minister, Adult Spiritual Formation Director, Youth Minister, Youth Praise Team Director, Age-Level Ministries Director, and Web Ministries Director. She plays bass guitar, sings back-up harmonies, and enjoys communicating the gospel through art, music, and creative writing.
