Last week we turned to two stories in one: the synagogue leader's daughter who is saved from death, and a woman who's been sick for 12 years. Both find healing, which reveals that having status or authority in this life means nothing in the Kingdom of God. Jairus, a prominent leader, and a "nobody" both receive the healing they're asking for.

We've been talking about grace, which is a deep subject! We all need it but don't always recognize that. Specifically, as Methodists, we recognize that God works in our lives from the moment of conception through to our last breath - what we describe as prevenient, justifying, and sanctifying grace. What's the difference?
Now we're working through a sermon preached by John Wesley called "The Scripture Way of Salvation" which gives a "method-ical" (hence the name Methodist) walk through what Salvation means and how it is achieved.
